How Rainbows Form

Rainbows happen when sunlight bends and splits inside raindrops.

What Happens?

Sunlight hits raindrops in the air.
Light bends (refracts) and spreads into colors.
That’s why we see red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet.
